Bunnings required a consistent and reliable power backup solution for its point-of-sale (POS) systems. Even a brief power failure at checkout could cause delays, impact customer experience, and disrupt store operations. The solution had to provide uninterrupted power for every POS system, integrate seamlessly into existing infrastructure without disrupting day-to-day store functions, and be scalable and reliable to support a national rollout.

With thousands of POS terminals handling transactions daily, ensuring system uptime was critical to maintaining operational efficiency.

To meet these requirements, PSS supplied and installed 2,400 Eco600 UPS units, deploying one for each checkout system across all Bunnings stores. The solution was tailored to:

• Deliver 600VA of reliable, uninterrupted backup power to each POS terminal.
• Fit within the existing store setup, requiring no modifications to checkout stations.
• Provide long-term durability, ensuring uninterrupted operation in high-traffic retail environments.
